The Lloop lamp is adjustable in height by extending or shortening the loop of the electricity cable which comes as the result of a wooden piece attached to the cable.

A large loop creates a tall lamp, a small loop creates a short lamp. This turns function into decoration—and vice versa—keeping it simple, clear, and free of hidden techniques.

The Lloop lamp is available in countless color combinations for the lampshade and cord. by to use the online Lloop lamp configurator , you can customize your own lamp from start to finish.

Choose from dozens of carefully selected colours and materials for the lamp’s components. Genuine brass and copper are, of course, also options.

Custom ceiling caps are available upon request.

The “ Lloop ” lamp was designed by Aptum. Under the name “APTUM,” Design Tineke Beunders & Nathan Wierink (formerly Ontwerpduo) collaborate to create custom-made Lighting and lighting installations. The label offers a full range of services for the Design, production, and installation of custom-made Lighting in unlimited configurations.

Through Ontwerpduo , Tineke and Nathan developed a deep passion for Lighting and gained years of experience in production and installation around the world. The duo’s strong desire to create more specialized work, combined with the growing demand for such work from the interior design and architecture sectors, led to the launch of APTUM in October 2019. The brand is taking over the Lloop and Lloop XL lines from Ontwerpduo’s portfolio.

The Lloop lamp has been part of the Vij5 collection since 2009. We have enjoyed working with Nathan & Tineke for many years, mainly because we share the same passion to be both designers and entrepreneurs.

The great thing about the Lloop lamp isn't just that it's easily adjustable in height. by Thanks to its simple design, it miraculously complements virtually any interior style.

The included wooden piece is meant to create a loop in the cable. By carefully sliding the wooden piece you can make the loop in the power cable bigger or smaller. This allows you to adjust the lamp in height: a large loop makes a high lamp, a small loop makes a low lamp.

The " Lloop " lamp was originally designed in aluminum with a white interior (the " Lloop Classic"). Soon after, a solid copper version was introduced, followed by a brass version, available with a polished exterior or with various " colours " finishes on the exterior.

Since we were receiving more and more requests for a larger version of theLloop lamp, we asked Nathan & Tineke to consider designing a new version of the classic “Lloop.” They surprised us with a new design that is clearly inspired by the original but still has its own character—and is certainly not a copy. As a result, the “ Lloop ” XL has its own identity and offers a fresh take on the successful “ Lloop ” lamp series. You could see it as the beginning of a new family!

The " Lloop " is made from solid sheet metal (copper, brass, or steel) that is formed into the shape of the lamp. Each shade is then polished on a polishing machine designed specifically for this lamp.

A significant portion of the production of the Lloop lamp takes place at Aptum’s workshop in Eindhoven. The lamps are also spray-painted here at colour in their own spray booth, which allows for many different customization options. The lamps are then carefully assembled.

Finally, the lamps at Vij5 are double-checked one last time and packed into a box.

A significant portion of the production of the " Lloop " lamp takes place at Aptum's workshop in Eindhoven. The final finishing touches on the lamps, as shown at colour , are also done here, which allows for a wide variety of customization options.

At our studio in Den Bosch, near the home furnishings district and just two minutes from the A2, everything comes together: showroom, workshop, warehouse, and office. Most of the products from the Vij5 collection are on display here.
