Archiving Water Ware is a collection of pottery decorated with a glaze developed in-house by by Lotte de Raadt .

The special glaze creates a water-drop effect and is applied to areas where the products by are touched by hand. The texture of the glaze feels pleasant and provides a good grip.

Archiving Water Ware showcases the beauty of water and thereby encourages a more conscious use of this precious natural resource. It celebrates and promotes (tap) water as an essential ingredient for life.

The collection consists of serving platters, a carafe, cups, and bowls.

For us, that doesn't just mean giving information about where something has been produced. Our chain starts much earlier: with the designer of the product!

Archiving Water Ware Designed by by Lotte de Raadt . Lotte has a studio and ceramics workshop in Eindhoven, where she designs and produces her own products. Through her work, she aims to raise public awareness of issues surrounding water use.

For Archiving Water Ware , Lotte developed a special glaze that leaves a droplet-like texture on each product.

Just like water, the glaze behaves unpredictably during application—it finds its own path, leaving behind intricately detailed yet beautiful and tactile textures.

The flow of water is, as it were, captured and archived. The process is designed, but the result is left to chance.

Archiving Water Ware has been part of the “ Vij5 ” collection since 2017. We’d secretly been in love with Lotte’s beautiful “Archiving Water Ware” for a while before she reached out to us about a possible collaboration. Since we’re both based in Eindhoven, it was quickly arranged.

We admire Lotte’s independence and her skills as a ceramic artist. The glazing technique she has developed is so fascinating that you simply can’t stop looking at it or touching it. The exact recipe, of course, remains a secret… even to us!

Of course, the manufacturing process for this product had already been developed by Lotte, and we didn’t have to look for a suitable manufacturer either. What we did explore together with Lotte was the final design language and components of the collection.

Archiving Water Ware by , Lotte creates her own pieces in small batches in her studio in Eindhoven. Her “ ” are designed to highlight the beauty of water and, in doing so, encourage a more mindful use of this precious natural resource. Design

Showroom

At our studio in Den Bosch, near the home furnishings district and just two minutes from the A2, everything comes together: showroom, workshop, warehouse, and office. Most of the products from the Vij5 collection are on display here.

Our showroom is still under construction, but you’re, of course, more than welcome to visit. Please contact us in advance and let us know which products you’d like to see, and we’ll see what we can do.
