Papeterie is a unique design piece that brings order to the books and magazines you like to keep close by. A small selection remains visible and within easy reach, without turning into a messy pile. Place Papeterie, for example, in a reading nook, on a sideboard, on a wide windowsill, or next to your bed—in the places where books and magazines naturally tend to gather.
The slanted back keeps books and magazines of various sizes in place, while the ribbed bottom prevents them from slipping out. The ribbed texture also provides a spot for smaller items you like to keep close at hand, such as glasses, a pencil, or a phone.

Papeterie's slanted back supports books and magazines of various sizes and thicknesses, while the ribbed texture on the bottom provides extra grip and helps keep them securely in place. This makes it easy to mix and match books and magazines of different sizes.
As a result, stationery isn't just great for magazines and novels, but also for children's books, cookbooks, sketchbooks, or other books you like to keep on display and within easy reach.
The ribbed bottom also serves an additional purpose: it provides a place to store smaller items, such as a remote control, a key, or a pen.
Stationery: an object with its own character
Papeterie was designed by by Fynn Freyschmidt and Lisa Keller, who work together under the name KellerFreyschmidt. Their Design often draw inspiration from everyday life: from things they see around them, use themselves, or feel are missing.
At Papeterie, they noticed how books and magazines naturally tend to accumulate in the places where you actually use them. That observation sparked the idea to explore what the bare minimum is needed to bring order to those spaces in a simple way.
The result is a compact object that deliberately does not specify where it should be placed or exactly how it should be used. That is why Papeterie is difficult to categorize within any existing product category, and why, as an object, it can add a unique touch to your interior.

Solid ash wood with a matte finish
Papeterie is made from solid ash wood and finished with colored linseed oil. This protects the wood and gives the surface a matte finish, while the natural wood grain remains subtly visible.
Papeterie is available in black, dove blue, and brick red as standard. For an additional charge, we can also finish Papeterie in a different color. Please feel free to contact us.
Locally made in our own workshop in Den Bosch
Stationery items are crafted in small batches in our own workshop in Den Bosch. The ribbed texture is milled layer by layer from solid ash wood using a CNC milling machine. The outer edges are then rounded, and the back is cut to size. Next, all parts are sanded, glued, and hand-finished with colored linseed oil.
Because we manufacture this book and magazine holder ourselves, the lines of communication are short, and if you have any questions, you can contact the makers directly.
