Discover the design of the Coatrack by the Meter, a contemporary interpretation of the classic Shaker wall coat racks. Inspired by the minimalist approach of the Shakers, this design leaves out everything superfluous. The basis of this wall coat rack is a square metal bar from which a hook is cut every ten centimeters with a laser. Then the hooks are bent outwards by hand. The hole created by the hook provides space to screw the coat rack to the wall.
NOTE: This is a "Special Edition" that is not normally part of our collection! It is a series that was made for a customer and we made extra. They are not as perfect as we would like them to be, hence the discount. This is by following:
To create the fluorescent look, the tubes are first given a milky pink base coat. Due to the Faraday cage principle and the fact that Powder coating with static electricity, it is more difficult to coat the inside of the tubes. That is why they are coated a second time with the same milky pink base coat for perfect coverage.
And then the magic happens: a third transparent layer is applied, and it becomes... FLUORESCENT!
The FLUOR color has been applied everywhere, but if you look closely, you can still see the milky pink color on the inside of the first layer. This is part of the production process.
The Coatrack by the Meter is easily attached to the wall with screws. Two plugs and two screws of the correct size are included with the product.
The designer of the Coatrack by the Meter, Maarten Baptist, has a passion for industrial tube lasers. He used this technique to Create a coat rack with minimal residual waste. Each Coatrack starts with a square metal bar, from which a hook is precisely cut every ten centimeters using advanced laser technology. The hooks are then bent outwards, resulting in a sleek and functional design.
After this careful production process, the coat racks are powder coated in various standard colors. For larger orders, we also offer the possibility to explore custom color options, so the Coatrack by the Meter fits perfectly with any interior.
