David Derksen's Copper & Brass Lights prove that stable structures can be created by folding a thin sheet of copper or brass. The folding principle defines both the shape and the aesthetics of the lamps, creating a delicate yet refined series of lamps.
All parts are etched. This precise technique is used to insert the bending lines into the material, after which they are hand-folded and assembled in Eindhoven.
Each facet gets its own color tone through the reflection of the environment in the shiny surfaces. The copper gives the light a warm glow, the brass a slightly more yellow light. The Copper & Brass Lights are available in three different shapes, making them widely applicable in the interior.
