This round mirror is divided into two half circles, made of clear and colored mirror glass. The back is a handmade solid oak ring and offers a simple construction to hang the mirror in any desired position, according to the user's mood and needs.
The mirror is easily attached to the wall with two screws.
Please note: the ‘Spring’ and ‘Fall’ versions have a natural oak ring, the ‘Black’ version has a black colored oak ring.
The Moonrise Mirror is inspired by the moon's orbit around the earth, which shows itself to us in different forms. This marks the seasons and the passing of the month.
The balance between light and dark in the monthly cycle defines a time of growth and a new beginning with the moon in the 'first quarter': spring. The 'last quarter' represents the beginning of the end of the cycle in which old structures are broken down and the way for new structures is prepared: autumn. This phenomenon and its graphic translation served as inspiration for the design of the Moonrise Mirror.
