You can 'dress' this cabinet by weaving 5 meters of the beautiful Kvadrat Canvas fabric through and around the frame. By placing a weight on both ends of the fabric, it becomes tensioned, which creates the final shape and function of the Design; open or closed, formal or playful, static or dynamic.
This specific cabinet consists of 5 layers of steel shelves and 4 legs. It is 186.4cm high and 88.2cm x 40x8cm. The fabric is in stock and prepared for the cabinet, a beautiful orange-red Kvadrat Canvas 566 which nicely complements a deep coral-red frame RAL3016. Since the parts are coated after ordering, we can choose another red, brown, or orange hue in consultation that nicely complements the fabric, but we thought this one was the most beautiful 🙂
The Dressed Cabinets are inspired by a childhood memory. Like a little girl, Puck built cabins by hanging bedding from her bunk bed. Towels became sliding doors and cushion covers served as storage compartments.
As a Designer, Puck has revived the fun she had as a child building huts. With her Design, she shows what fabrics can do for a simple shelving unit.
