ABOUT JANTIEN BROERE
Jantien Broere (b. 1970) is a sustainable interior design expert. In everything she does, she pursues sustainability. Both privately and in her Design , she uses bio-based and circular materials with a long life span as much as possible. As a little girl, Jantien was already devoted to nature, and she still is. But when she read that we are using up the earth, she thought: I have to do something now. Therefore she organizes knowledge meetings, gives presentations and developed a course to inspire others. But she doesn't think that's enough. From her passion for nature, her expertise in sustainable interior design and her belief in a better world, she wrote this handbook. So everyone can see that it is possible to furnish your home not only beautifully and trendy, but also sustainably.
'I am determined to give the earth better by than it is now'

WHAT DO OTHERS SAY ABOUT THE BOOK?
"A fresh lick of paint on the wall, a new sofa or a completely different kitchen. When decorating our home, most don't think about how big an impact our interior will have, whereas we should. In fact, that impact is bigger than we think. That's why a book like this is so important: to create awareness and give alternatives."
Wyke Potjer of www.hetkanwel.nl
"Good that there is now a specific focus on interior design and the impact that comes with furnishing the living environment, because it is much needed. I know from experience that people need inspiring examples and practical tips to get started themselves at home. With this book, they will certainly succeed."
Lodewijk Hoekstra, Nl Greenlabel and TV presenter
"In a tiny house, it is extra important to pay a lot of attention to your interior and thus your living comfort. A Tiny House is about consciously choosing what is important to you and has value to you, so that you can live very nicely with just enough and not too much. 'Sustainable Interior' helps you make those choices so that your house really becomes your personal home, with minimal impact on all of us big home: mother earth."
Marjolein Jonker of www.marjoleininhetklein.nl
"More sustainable ís more fun! Jantien shows that this also applies to our interiors."
Saskia Sampimon, founder of thegreenlist.com
"I am extremely pleased to have a book on sustainable materials and Furniture to Design and Furnish a Home with. As the initiator of Ecowonen Midden Nederland, a project where we mainly want to live together sustainably, I am very interested in what and where sustainable is available. I also find the information on what exactly we mean by the term sustainable and what considerations can be very relevant. I went out on my own, of course, but I didn't get much wiser at bathroom and kitchen stores. Nor did I find out on the Internet; it was a time-consuming task. This book is really a must have now that many people consider sustainable products important and are looking for good alternatives."
Ria van Rooijen, nurse and president of Ecowonen Midden Nederland
