Table 18 x 54 gets its name from the dimensions of the profile of the slats (in millimeters) used for the design and construction of this table. In fact, if you look closely, you can see that it is constructed from identical slats. This has created a typical construction that creates a special silhouette.
Table 18 x 54 was developed from and follows the design of Chair 18 x 36, but is of course also available separately. The table is made of PEFC-certified oak and available in various lengths and 90cm wide. The table is treated with natural linseed oil to which a fungicide has been added. This makes the table suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Of course, the table can also be delivered untreated.

Table 18 x 54 was designed by autonomous designer Floris Hovers. His Design surprises with its disarming simplicity. Not abstract minimalism, but the end result of a long process of reduction.
For this table, Floris set himself the goal of creating a piece of furniture Design by using only one type of lath (albeit in two different lengths). Because he imposed this restriction on himself, a typical construction emerged naturally. The entire table is constructed from slats with a profile of 18 x 54 mm.
Table 18 x 54 is made of oak and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Matching (garden) chairs are also designed with the table from the same slatted principle.
