The Trestle Table is an elegant, flexible table where the top and the base are not connected to each other. The base consists of lightweight aluminium trestles which, thanks to careful design, are stackable and very stable. The trestles support the tabletop and a layer of cork provides sufficient grip.
Note: The tabletops in the photos are made of birch plywood, but we are now using Eco-plex, a sustainable alternative plywood board made from poplar wood. This is a high-quality alternative and relatively lightweight, but strong in use. In terms of appearance, it is slightly lighter and the layer structure is slightly different, but otherwise the sheets are identical.
The Trestle Table is particularly suitable for use in areas where flexibility is important, such as work environments, but also in a domestic setting. Unlike many other tables with trestles, this design also allows you to sit at the ends, which makes the table suitable as a dining table, for example. The tabletop of the Trestle Table can be fully adapted to the interior.
Explanation of the various options:
- Each table is made to measure and you can choose from 4 standard colours for the trestles and no fewer than 16 colours of Forbo Desktop top layer. This Forbo material is carefully glued onto a multiplex top. Would you prefer a different colour of trestle or for example HPL as top layer? No problem either, just contact us and together we will see what is possible and what would be a nice combination.
- It is now also possible to choose a solid European oak top or American walnut. The tops are the same thickness of approx. 26mm and have the same corner and edge finishing. The solid wood tops are produced in the Netherlands and finished at Vij5 . The tops are finished with 2 layers of Osmo hard wax oil for a perfect finish, resistant to coffee, red wine, etc.
- In addition to the standard "birch plywood" that we use for our tops, we now also offer a new "eco-plex". This is an even more sustainable sheet, made from wood from ecological cultivated forests. PEFC certified. The leaf is also slightly lighter, both in weight and colour, which can be seen on the side of the table.
