Jeroen Wand
Studio Jeroen Wand explores the raw, unpolished side of design and develops objects, products, installations and environments that encourage the discovery of alternative forms of what is beautiful or pleasant. The real pleasantness is not found in the standard, but in the things that go just outside that standard.
By reversing, changing or adapting traditional combinations of material and technique, unconventional production processes arise, such as laminating paper and rotational molding of plaster. The products and objects of Studio Jeroen Wand are the results of experiment in and research into these unique processes in which the production method determines the form and function.
Jeroen Wand (1985) studied product design at the Maastricht Academy of Art and Design (MAFAD). In 2008 he obtained his master's degree at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.
