Jeroen Wand
Studio Jeroen Wand explores the raw, unpolished side of design, developing objects, products, installations and environments that encourage people to find alternative forms of what is beautiful or pleasant. The real pleasure is not to be found in the standard, but in the things that just go beyond the standard.
By throwing around, changing or adapting traditional combinations of material and technique, unconventional production processes emerge, such as the lamination of paper and the rotation moulding of plaster. The products and objects of Studio Jeroen Wand are the results of experiment and research into these unique processes in which the production method determines the form and function.
Jeroen Wand (1985) studied product design at the Academy of Art and Design Maastricht (MAFAD). In 2008 he received his master's degree from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.
