Dutch Design Week Press Centre by Vij5

Commissioned by Dutch Design Foundation, Vij5 was responsible for the interior design of the Press Centre of Dutch Design Week (DDW) 2018. For the occasion we designed a temporary intervention following our design for the Business Lounge, focusing on sustainability and circularity. For this project we collaborated with ECOR panels, Forbo Marmoleum, Kvadrat textiles and de Klerk floral art and interior planting.

For the Press Centre we created an inspiring space at the headquarters of Dutch Design Foundation to receive journalists, photographers and camera crews. At the same time the Press Centre offered work and lounge areas decorated with various items from the Vij5 collection.

” A temporary intervention aimed at sustainability and circularity. “

Not to be missed this year was one of the newest additions to the Vij5 collection: the Trestle Table from David Derksen.

Taking into account the exclusivity and the function of the space, we wanted to create a place with both a temporary character and a high-end feeling. By placing a large circle of 100% recycled and recyclable panels we created an architectural intervention in the existing space.

This concept was complemented by the temporary use of various items from the Vij5 collection, made of pure and durable materials.

After the event, the space was restored to its original state. All design items were borrowed and returned afterwards.
