Folding a thin sheet of copper or brass can create stable structures, as David Derksen proves with its Copper & Brass Lights. The folding principle defines the shape as well as the aesthetics of the lamps, forming a delicate yet refined series of lamps.

All parts are etched. This precise technique is used to insert the bending lines into the material, after which they are hand-folded and assembled in Eindhoven.
The reflection of the surroundings in the shiny surfaces gives each facet its own hue. Copper gives a warm glow to the light, brass a slightly more yellow light. The Copper & Brass Lights are available in three different shapes, making them widely applicable in interiors.
