From June 5–7, Vij5 was once again present atDesign Districtat the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam. This year, we again showcased a number of previews of new products featuring work by Max Lipsey, Studio Thier & van Daalen , and Floris Hovers, among others!
Design Districtis an event for interior architects, architects, Designers, project designers, stylists, detailers, and other interior design professionals. At Design District, you’ll find over 200 top brands showcasing their latest and best products—ranging from young Designers and emerging labels to established international brands. The selection on the exhibition floor is varied and well-balanced; you’ll find, among other things, furniture, Lighting, bathroom fixtures, tiles, flooring, fabrics, and other materials. The booths are small, showcasing only the newest products. This makes it a well-organized event where you can get completely up to speed on the latest in interior design in just one day!
This year,Design Districtwas once again held at theVan Nelle Factoryin Rotterdam. The Van Nelle Factory was once the most modern factory in the Netherlands—Europe’s first daylight factory, designed to boost energy levels. The building was renovated in 2002 and is now sustainable down to the last detail. Since 2014, this national monument in Rotterdam has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once again this year, the “ Vij5 ” booth was located among the distinctive blue racks of the “Distribution centre” at the Van Nelle Factory.
