Michael Funch
Michael Funch (1990) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in December 2014, from the “Man and Activity” department. We’ve known Michael since his student days because he worked as an intern for Vij5 . His Design are simple and honest, inspired b by , raw materials, and the creative process. His concepts range from new ways to connect people with materials to linking products to a specific lifestyle.
Immediately after graduating, both of his graduation projects were nominated for awards: the 2015 International Glass Prize in Lommel (BE) and the 2015 Bolia Design Awards (DK).
The Moonrise Mirror project was conceived during his internship and was further developed into a marketable product after he graduated.
