Marc Th. van der Voorn
Marc Th. van der Voorn graduated from Minerva Art Academy in Groningen in 2001. After earning his degree, he launched his own label, AAN-UIT, and later decided to broaden his scope. He is currently based in Everdingen as an independent product and furniture designer.
Marc’s approach is practical, hands-on, and always focused on collaboration. To develop his ideas, he enjoys experimenting with materials and production methods. These experiments often serve as the starting point for Design later go into production.
He prefers to develop his products in collaboration with brands and creators who are passionate about what they do. For him, getting to know the people behind a company is an integral part of the design process.
Many of his Design now Design found in the homes of clients around the world and have been featured in international magazines and trend publications. In addition, Marc gives guest lectures at art schools, mentors young Designers writes as a co-editor for various blogs and trade journals.
Curiosity plays an important role in this. As Marc himself says, asking questions is often the start of a good conversation—and of a good design.
