You can 'dress up' this cabinet by weaving 5 metres of the beautiful Kvadrat Canvas fabric through and around the frame. By placing a weight at either end of the fabric, it is put under tension and this creates the final form and function of the design; open or closed, formal or playful, static or dynamic.
Each cabinet is made to order and customised, but this particular colour combination is in stock. We have made it especially for OBJECT Rotterdam and Design District 2022.
The Dressed Cabinets are inspired by a childhood memory. Like a little girl, Puck built cabins by hanging bedding from her bunk bed. Towels became sliding doors and cushion covers served as storage compartments.
As a designer, Puck has revived the fun she had building huts as a child. With her design she shows what fabrics can do for a simple shelving unit.
