By simply tilting the small wooden lever on top of the Tumble cabinet slightly forward, the door begins to open in a subtle and calm way.
This beautiful 'taupe' colour Tumble cupboard is a show model which we have only shown at a few trade fairs and which is now hanging in our showroom, so it is in excellent condition!
Doors are usually opened with a handle. These handles are sometimes hidden or emphasized, but they are always present. While most cabinets use the same hinges or sliding mechanisms, there are other ways to open a door. This inspired Koen Devos to design a cabinet where the user does not have to open the door, but gravity does the work!
The nice thing is: you don't expect the door to open by this simple action, let alone with a graceful and slow swing! The movement is surprisingly poetic and a pleasure for the eye.
