Fibonacci Fabrics is a series of refined textile products based on the famous series of Fibonacci 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, etc. Each next number is the sum of the previous two resulting in a mathematical ratio that returns everywhere in nature.
Textile designer Jolijn Fiddelaers designed an extensive collection based on this series in which areas of colour, patterns and embroidery meet and overlap.
The series consists of cushions and shawls (in 2 sizes), in various designs and colours. All products are beautiful on their own, but are at the same time a visible part of a larger whole. "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The cushions in particular are therefore easy to combine with each other.

Transparency of the production chain comes naturally to us.
With us, that doesn't just mean giving information about where something has been produced. Our chain starts much earlier: with the designer of the product!
We'll tell you the whole story. Click on the buttons to discover the different steps:
The story of the Fibonacci Fabrics is a special story with Jolijn Fiddelaers, as a talented multitasker, in the centre. She is a designer, connector and product developer with a passion for honest and biologically produced textiles. She regularly travels to India to work one-on-one with local craftsmen. Her goal is to help them maintain their craft by applying traditional techniques in modern designs suitable for the Western market.
We were personally charmed by the beautiful hand embroidery of the Indian craftsmen and asked Jolijn to design a series of cushions based on a specific technique. Her products fit seamlessly with the Vij5 collection by both her designs and her use of color.
I believe that designers, as professional 'designers', have a unique opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable and conscious life on this planet. I want to encourage people to dream their dreams and make them come true! From inspiration to creation.Jolijn Fiddelaers

Fibonacci Fabrics has been part of the Vij5 collection since 2014. The products show that sustainable design emerges where tradition and innovation merge and bring each other to a higher level. For this collection Jolijn made a beautiful combination of Indian craftsmanship and Dutch design.
Its mission is to "cherish tradition and embrace innovation". She takes her time to understand the essence of crafts and to create new forms from them. In doing so, she brings a new perspective within the existing frameworks and contributes to the skills of Indian craftsmen.
By including the beautiful scarves and cushions in the Vij5 collection we want to support her as a person and her mission in India.
The Fibonacci Fabrics products are made from the finest quality organic cotton and are fair trade and proudly produced in India.
